Section anchor rail
A slim rail follows long object pages and jumps to any section.

The rail scrolls itself sideways to keep the active section in view, which is the part most implementations skip and the part that matters on a 340 pixel screen. Anchors are real links, so they work with JavaScript off and they can be shared.
