A pause control on anything that moves by itself.

The conservation ran on a public livestream. Anything that moves on its own needs a way to stop it.

Anything that moves by itself
A slow pan across an object looks good and makes some people feel sick. Vestibular disorders, migraine and motion sensitivity are common enough that a hero without a stop button is a decision, not an oversight.
The control is inside the moving area, at the bottom left, where a thumb reaches it without covering the image.
Two behaviours, not one. The button pauses it, and prefers-reduced-motion means it never starts, with the reason stated on screen rather than left as a mystery. The animation is pure CSS, so pausing costs nothing and the phone stops repainting.
